Summertime

So.. whats one word that describes your summer?  For me it is "BOOKS" as I am reading so much right now, as required for class.

I wonder how Saturday night went with the Youth.  Sounded like it was going to be awesome....

finally an update

Wow... things are really busy.  We just completed a course on Perspectives on the World Christian Movement.  This course is designed to be done over a period of 16 weeks and we covered it in 3.  Jeremy and I both made A's on our 1st exam, the final will be this Thursday.  On Friday it is said that they are going to unload a TON of work on us so....we shall see....The cool thing is that we aren't studing Algebra - we actually really enjoy the things we are learning and so we are totally having a blast.

So we totally miss everyone.  I cannot wait till we can see everyone.

It is so fun to look back at my last few entries and see how God provided $20,000.  Thas-a-lotta-mu-la!  And he is continuing to care for our needs.  Praise be to God!

We took the boys to see Cars.  That was fun.  They were completely sucked in by the huge screne of color in front of them.  They especially enjoyed going because we did not bring our TV with us to Nashville and these were experiencing withdrawl.  It has been great not having a TV.  We play games together and talk!  For those of you who don't know what talking is, it is where you sit down together and say a few words.  Then the person you are sitting with says a few words that may, or may not, have something to do with what you were saying.  Often times there are strong feelings of joy, unity, and understanding that result in such an activity.  Often times laughter too.

Well I can't wait to hear from you all.  Please respond here or email smallsarah@bellsouth.net or text/call me at 770-286-0592

love ya!

The Carwash and such

Can you believe we raised $471 at the carwash?  I use "we" lightly... I was hardly a part of it.

Thank YOU:  Jeremy Eric MissAshley Kristin Bradley Josh Abby Kerry Jared Sam Zach Abby Anna Tommy..It Really wouldn't have happened without you there.  And it means so much to us.

Anyway, it seemed, for the short while that i was there, that the wash was tons of fun - and a GREAT way to raise some quick cash.  It really helped too:  Jeremy and I have reached our financial goal and we are officially OUT OF YOUR HAIR for the next 6 months or so.  Jeremy also reached his tan goal at the wash

So, monday is our offical move in date in Nashville.  I wonder what Nashville is like.  I can't wait.

Will that be weird for anyone?  Us being gone?  Maybe not.  I look forward to getting back though, and really putting down roots here in ATL.

Its great that we can stay connected this way while we are gone though!

The Sale

Well, the garage sale was a bunch of fun.  It was also a bunch of hard work and it was hot!  I don't know what we would have done with out the people who came.  Anna Trisha Abby were great!  The guys worked VERY hard all day - Josh Zach and Sam... Thanks so much, all of you.

Now we are planning a car wash for this Saturday.  I hope we can raise a good bit of money.  Rumor has it that the college students usually raise around $500.  We just need helpers.  Sofar Ashley, Anna Bok and Kristin B have stepped up to the plate.

I just know that we are going to get the remaining $8,000 we need for the school.  I don't know how though.  Anna Latshaw gave me some great advice that she learned through YWAM:

1. Never make a decision based on money, rather make your decisions off of following God's will for your life and he will provide the money.

2. Do everything you can!

She also gave me some encouraging words about some people she knew who actually bought the plane ticket to go where God was calling them, and the money had not come in.  They were actually AT the airport about to board the plane and a guy walked up to them and handed them the check with the exact ammount they needed.

And so with that, I am packing right now - believing that all that we need will be provided...

The Attack

Here is the gang getting ready to launch attack on the Cogburns Room Mission #1.  The girls get Jeremy in a surprise attack!

Abby takes a nibble of some candy hanging from the cealing (later to find she exceeded her sugar quota for the night)

Lexi writes the ransom note that was basically ignored by the grumpy guys who couldn't figure out some simple riddles!

The getaway vehicle!  Note to self : Next time use an unmarked car!

Well we had a great time getting the Cogburns room.  Rumor has it that they were pretty upset  but my bet is that deep down they loved every bit of it and are already planning a revenge attack on the girls.
